Jason Graczyk stated that "firing your customers provides a family-friendly environment because you can reduce the poor influence that can be found in campgrounds." Guests of the property have mentioned the camp has "great customer service in the office. By focusing on which campers are allowed in the park, Hidden Lakes significantly reduces "partiers and drinkers" in their campground, allowing a quieter environment. Hidden Lakes Family Campground tries to make the property "peaceful and clean" by minimizing the potential customers of the campground. The observatory offers telescopes as well as planetarium shows for its guests. Because the area is one of the 39 Dark Sky parks in the United States, this observatory is often a popular attraction for those who visit the area. Another attraction near the area is Observatory Park. This 13th century themed park is opened for the weekends of a couple of months throughout the year, offering a variety of activities, a couple of these activities being jousting and themed dancing. Near the campsite is the Great Lakes Medieval Fair, which offers a medieval experience for its visitors. Educational walking trails exist on the property, offering lessons pertaining to astronomy, weather, and wildlife. Jason Graczyk, the owner of the Hidden Lakes Family Campground, provides an "education factor" to his park by showcasing different flowers with their respective histories for guests to learn about throughout their stay at the campground. Some items sold there include beverages, treats, firewood, propane, toys, some fishing supplies, health and beauty products, to name just a few. The property has a store on-site, with several different items for sale. If that weekend is a holiday weekend, a three-night stay is expected for those staying. For guests that are looking to stay at the property over a weekend, a two-night minimum stay is required. Each cabin comes with a mini-fridge, a microwave, a space heater, a bed, a picnic table, a grill, and a fire ring. The tent sites vary from primitive tent camping to tent sites with water and electricity for guest use. The RV sites range from pull-through and back-ins, both of which include water and electricity hook-ups. Of those locations, 152 are RV sites, 14 of them are tent sites, and the last two are cabins. Hidden Lakes is located on 75-acres of land, with 168 total sites located throughout the property for guests to choose between for where they would like to stay.
